For intentional communities

You don't need more inquiries. You need the right people.

seeking.community is a free matchmaker, run by real people. When someone's hopes line up with the life you actually live, we point them to your door. No listing, no public page, no browsing.

You're not short of interest. You're short of fit.

You love where you live, and you'd like more people to share it. But the way people find you now costs you evenings you don't have.

  • The inbox of kind messages from people who haven't read a word about you.
  • The Saturday tour you gave that went nowhere.
  • The newcomer who arrived full of hope and left after three months.
  • The directory entry from 2019 you keep meaning to update.

None of that is the seekers' fault. Most of them are looking without a map. We'd like to be the map, for both of you. One person who stays five years is worth more than fifty who visit once.

How it works

Fifteen minutes to tell us who you are. Then we do the careful part.

01

Tell us about your community

A few basics, then 10 open questions about daily life, land, decisions and money. About 15 minutes.

02

Describe your dream member

Who thrives with you, and who hasn't. Honestly. This is what we match on.

03

We review it by hand

A real person reads every profile before it's matched with anyone. Add up to 5 photos and more details whenever you like.

04

We point the right people your way

When a seeker fits you and you fit them, we send them to your profile. They get in touch with you directly.

Why this, not a directory

A directory lists you and walks away. We make an introduction.

We can't promise how often you'll be matched. It may be rarely. That's by design: we only point someone your way when both sides line up.

A directory
  • Listed next to hundreds of others
  • Anyone can browse you, for any reason
  • An entry that goes stale the day it's written
  • Inquiries from people who haven't read anything
seeking.community
  • Invisible to everyone except people matched with you
  • Matched on values and daily life, not a search filter
  • You keep it current, whenever you like
  • A real person in between, reading both sides
Privacy & control

Your profile belongs to you. So does the door.

Not public. Not indexed.

No public page, nothing in search engines, no browsing. Only seekers we've matched with you can see your profile.

Pause any time

Full for now? Flip "Open to new members" off and we stop matching until you turn it back on.

Edit or delete any time

Change anything whenever life changes. Delete your profile and it's gone.

Nothing added without your yes

If we fill something in from public info, it shows up as a suggestion. You accept it or reject it.

A peek at a profile

What a matched seeker sees. And only them.

A calm page in your own words. A seeker reaches it only through a match, with a note from us on why you might fit.

  • Your photos, up to five, if you want them
  • The people you hope for, in your words
  • Practical details, filled in by you, so fewer blanks
  • A small seal that says you're here yourselves

A few honest answers

What communities ask before they join.

Is it really free? Why?
Yes, for communities too. No fees, no premium tier, no "boost". We exist to help people land well, and charging the places they land would bend that. The people behind EcoHubs keep it running.
Who can see our profile?
Only seekers a real person has matched with you. There's no public page, nothing indexed by search engines, and no way to browse. The rest of the world can't see you're here.
How often will we be matched?
We can't promise. We match for fit, not volume, so it may be rarely. When it happens, it should be someone worth your evening.
What kinds of communities can join?
Any residential intentional community that's real and lived in: ecovillages, cohousing, co-ops, land projects, communes. Big or small, old or new. If people share a place and a life on purpose, you're welcome.
What if we're full right now?
Flip "Open to new members" off. We stop matching until you switch it back on. Your profile stays as you left it.
Who reads what we write?
A real person at seeking.community, who reviews every profile by hand before it's matched with anyone. They read what you wrote about your dream member as carefully as a seeker's own words. AI helps us compare profiles and seekers; a person makes every match.
Can we delete everything?
Yes, any time, from your profile. It's gone, and we stop matching you.
An invitation, not a pitch

Somewhere, someone is already hoping for a place like yours. Let's help them find the door.

Tell us who you are and who you're hoping for. A real person will read it, and when the fit is true on both sides, we'll point the way. Free, private, and yours to pause.
